The Farmers Bank & Trust New Boston, Texas, branch, in conjunction with the Farmers Bank Foundation, has donated $10,000 to the New Boston Education Foundation as a matching grant. Private donors contributed an additional $11,000 to the New Boston Education Foundation over the last six months, bringing the total donation to $21,000.
The funds raised will go toward classroom scholarships to benefit grant requests from New Boston Independent School District teachers and administrators. Typical grant requests vary from $500 to $1,000 and focus on the core curriculum, including math, science, reading, and technology.
