Farmers Bank & Trust (FB&T) is proud to announce the promotion of Kayla Simmons to Associate Vice President
and Commercial Loan Officer and Justin Godfrey to Commercial Loan Officer for the New Boston, Texas, Market.
Kayla Simmons
Simmons has been with Farmers Bank & Trust for 13 years and started her banking career in 2005. In her new
role, she will provide lending opportunities for home, auto, small business, and commercial loans, as well as
residential real estate investments and help oversee the New Boston branch.
A New Boston resident, Simmons is a graduate of Texarkana College with an emphasis in business. She is the
vice president of the New Boston Education Foundation and a board member of the New Boston Chamber of
Commerce. Simmons is also involved in children’s activities at Tapp Methodist Church in New Boston.
She has two children in the New Boston school system and enjoys traveling with her family and outdoor
adventures.

Justin Godfrey
Godfrey joined Farmers Bank & Trust in 2021 and brings four years of banking experience to his new role. He
specializes in agricultural, commercial, and retail lending.
Godfrey earned a double bachelor’s degree from the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville in Agricultural
Business and Poultry Science. He is also a New Boston Chamber of Commerce board member and an
active West Bowie County Rotary Club member.
Residing in Redwater, Texas, Godfrey has a strong agricultural background in the cattle and poultry industries.
He is also a pastor at Hillcrest Baptist Church in Mount Pleasant, Texas, and enjoys time with his family and
being outdoors.
“Justin’s dedication and service in agriculture and lending brings invaluable support to clients and
potential clients in our community,” added Bramlett. “His commitment to customers and his community is a
huge asset to our team.”
